Alex Morrison is President of Grey West, where he oversees the Los Angeles and San Francisco offices for Grey Group, one of the world's leading advertising and marketing organizations. In this role, Alex is responsible for the overall vision, culture, and growth of the agency on the west coast.


With an extensive background in brand strategy, integrated marketing, and digital content development, Alex has delivered breakthrough creative and measurable results for some of the world’s most recognized brands over his career including Google, Nike, Samsung, P&G, American Express, Marriott, and Universal Music Group.

Before joining Grey, he served as Global Managing Director, Content Studio at R/GA, where he oversaw R/GA’s content discipline globally, delivering an integrated model for the agency across its global network and more than doubling the offering from four locations to ten in two years.

Prior to R/GA,  Alex served as SVP, Director of Digital Marketing at Grey Group, where he drove significant digital business growth while championing the strategic integration of digital offerings across Grey’s North American client roster.

Alex also spent four years as Partner & EVP at AgencyNet, where he opened the agency’s New York office, and previously was the co-founder of a New York-based digital content start up. He holds his MBA from Columbia Business School and lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.

Some 300,000 Americans dropped cable service last quarter, and analysts are calling it good news for providers because the number was just half the amount lost in the second quarter, according to Bloomberg estimates.

Agencies risk being left behind if they follow their urge to stick with what has worked in the past. "It's easier to say 'we will wait until the sky is falling to change", said R/GA's Morrison. "Acknowledging the future doesn't mean you're giving up your business."
